Unraveling the complexities of human nature
I am a political and social psychologist, currently an adjunct professor at the Lebanese American University., and a consultant for Joe Maalouf's sociopolitical show at MTV. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Lebanese University. I completed my MSc in Political Psychology and Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Kent in the UK. I have been involved with many alternative political groups during the 2018 and 2022 Lebanese Parliamentary elections.
As a quantitative psychologist, I have extensive experience working with large datasets for his research projects. I am skilled in designing surveys and developing scales. My expertise in statistics is built on my completion of the 'Advanced Statistics and Methodology' course at the University of Kent, in addition to other advanced level university courses. I have a strong command of state-of-the-art methods and statistical software, allowing me to effectively analyse, interpret, and handle large data sets.
I have dedicated my academic research to intergroup relations, with a primary focus on the intergroup contact theory, which I explored in my MSc dissertation. I am also among a small number of social and political psychologists who are investigating collective violence. For my PhD, I sought to understand the multidimensionality of collective violence, as well as the motivating factors behind supporting different dimensions of collective violence. I examined the influence of ideologies, attitudes, and identities on supporting collective behaviors, particularly extreme behaviors such as violence.
